Thanks Moddy for figuring out my problem, unfortunately I dropped a yo and frogged again....but, it is important to remember the color coding does not show up in a black and white print out... :)
OK I am about to poke my eyes out...I dropped a stitch again, on row 11 of chart 1 so a lifeline wouldn't have helped. I am putting this down until the morning, perhaps by tomorrow evening I will have some work to show...I would be done by now if I didn't frog so often, :) 40 years of knitting, sample knitter, commissioned knitter, being done in by a shawl....((hanging head in shame))
I can totally relate. I went on a trip with a new project and just a scanned copy of the pattern. I didn't want to ruin my magazine toting it around, you know. When I got to the charted bit I discovered that the portion printed in shades of grey just looked black on my scanned copy. I ended up having to buy another copy of the magazine so I could knit on the airplane home. And it is pretty trashed.
