Moving Slowly

I promise no more pics until I get through Chart 2, but I wanted to show I wasn't defeated.....Chart 1 Rows 1-6, past point of 7th frogging....moving very slow, using color coded pics, thanks again Moddy, marking off on paper...I feel like a preschooler..
But I love the shawl...I think I will frame the darn thing when it is done...

HI Cheryl,
I know I am a bit late to your plight, but I just wanted to give you my suggestion for the charts.
I used highliters.
One color to mark the repeats, and one to go down the middle stitch (so I did not forget it =)).
You could also alternate colors per row so you could keep better track of the stitches.
It worked for me in school! And I find it seriously helps me with my charts!
You can do it!

Thanks Melanie...that is a very good idea...never occurred to me when I printed the pattern at work that there was any color coding involved...Thanks again...

I like the highlighter idea, and also use one of the magnetic strips on my chartkeeper to "underline" the row I am on while knitting. Your efforts are paying off, and such a lovely color, too.

Currently I have been using a post it to move along the rows, perhaps I should invest in a chart keeper. Thanks for the encouragement

Or, a magnet on a small metal cookie sheet works, too. I am using a metal board/magnet designed for cross-stitch and the magnet is too short, but it is what I had on hand.
I also write the number of the rows completed on the side of the chart. Highlighters distract me.

At this point Anne I may need to be distracted :)
